Zinc is a fundamental nutrient required for the body to be able to make proteins & DNA, and support the immune system.

It plays a role in cell division, cell growth, wound healing and the breakdown of carbohydrates.

Some symptoms of low zinc include: unexplained weight loss, poor wound healing, poor concentration, decreased sense of smell and taste, diarrhoea, loss of appetite and open sores on the skin.

If you have any concerns seek advice from a medical professional.
