Allergies and Menopause - what's the connection?
With the number of people experiencing allergies, Claire Snowden-Darling (Expert in Kinesiology and founder of Balanced Wellness UK) and I take a deep dive look at allergies, colds and our hormones. Allergies and increased sensitivities do happen more as we hit peri-menopause to post-menopause. However, the global trend for allergies and increased sensitivity is for it to appear in both genders throughout people's lives from childhood onwards with a 50% rise in children since 1997 according to research from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Claire and I explore why this is happening and how an elevated histamine level, triggered by hormonal or digestion issues can massively contribute to allergy symptoms. PLUS we look at how kinesiology can help us identify and manage allergies.
